Product Development:

•                  Coordinate all activities necessary to complete one or more engineering projects.

•                  Function as a hands-on coach to the product developers (player), when appropriate.

•                  Oversee design work & design methodology for development projects.

•                  Lead the team to create the High Level Design Specification and the Detail Design Specification with input from the Product Manager.

•                  Create product definition or provide technical input to the Director concerning the product definition.

Product Management:

•                  Provide technical leadership to team members.

•                  Interface with Product Manager and the customers on key technical issues.  (May visit customers when there are significant technical issues or to get feedback on product lines.)

•                  Serve as “point person” for Product Development organization regarding current engineering issues on product plus determine magnitude of issue and delegating the work as necessary. This may include bugs, obsolete parts, test issues etc.

•                  Establish and maintain the detailed product development schedule.

•                  Conduct product meetings.

General Administration:

•                  Review and approve personnel related issues for direct reports such as paid time off, etc.

•                  Define quarterly and annually objectives for team members.

•                  Conduct performance/salary reviews for direct reports.

•                  Direct technical and career growth of team members.

•                  Ensure compliance of corporate policies, procedures and methodologies.

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•                  Self-motivated, self-starter who likes challenging work.

 

•                  Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar position in related technologies, with project and people management experience.

 

•                  Proven leadership in building high performance team.Strong decision making and problem solving skills.

 

•                  Strong familiarity with LTE/UMTS/CDMA wireless communication technologies and development experience in protocol layer (L2/L3) procedures. Experience in physical layer (L1) will be a plus.

 

•                  Strong knowledge on C and C++ programming, Object-Oriented design.Experience in programming on real-time OS like VxWorksis desirable.

 

•                  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also needed in this position, including mandatory written and spoken English fluency.

 

•                  Able to travel up to 10%-15% of the time (both domestic and international, particularly to USA)

 

•                  BSEE/BSCE required. MSEE/MSCE desired.
