Job Summary*

This role will be working closely with the product management and software development team to ensure the overall quality and reliability of ******, hardware and software products. The QA engineer involves the testing of video conference related product across multiple platforms.

More specifically, the QA engineer will fulfill his or her task from three aspects, ensuring the product design alignment with customer requirement, finding product defect in house and having accurate and rapid response to customer escalation.

 

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Quality AssuranceManager in China.

This role also requires working closely with the local development team and product team to ensure effective implementation in line with product qualitycriteria.

 

Responsibilities*

• Work with developers and PM on the initial design of assigned features
• Develop test case for assigned features from functional specs
• Execute manual test cases and perform automation testing
• Revise test plan and procedures to be in step with customer expectations
• Investigate reported problems and defects to enable developers to easily reproduce and fix
• Customer issue reproduction and verification

Qualifications*

Education:

• Bachelor Degree or above in Computer Science/Telecommunication or equivalent

Language:

• Excellent English skills in written and reading, strong plus in verbal English

Working Experiences

 

• 4 years QA experience in Video, VoIP, data networking industry or telecom industry

Hard skills as a Must:

• Good working knowledge of common operation system (e.g. Windows, Mac OS X, Linux)
• Strong experience with TCP/IP, IPv6
• Detail-oriented and strong analytical/problem solving capabilities
• Strong understanding of performance, regression, integration,  interoperability, system level and stress/load test execution
• Experience writing test plans, test suites and test procedures at the black box and system test levels

 

Hard skills as a Strong Plus:

• Preferably experience on MCU, recording and stream server or other video conference products
• Video conference industry experience is a plus
• Test Automation Tools development experience is a plus
• Systems administration experience in a mixed Linux/UNIX and Windows environment  is a plus

Hard skills as a Nice to have:

• Understanding of automation framework. Experience in using automation tools and instruments (like QTP, Winrunner, Avalanche) would be an added advantage
• Experience in leading projects throughout the testing cycle is preferred

Soft Skills:

• Good communication and coordination capability
• Good self-learning ability
• Ability to anticipate problems and issues, and then recommend solutions to the problems
