Reports To: Managing Director, MMA Asia Pacific (based in Singapore)/Marketing Director, Madhouse Inc.(based in Shanghai)

OPPORTUNITY
The Mobile Marketing Association seeks a talented and visionary leader to serve as Business Head/Representative for MMA , China. He/She will drive MMA's continued efforts to expand its presence in the region and strengthen its position as the leading industry association for the mobile marketing while achieving its membership and revenue goals. In a time of dramatic opportunity and growth, the position requires a creative, resourceful and inspiring executive with a commitment to the organization's mission and management. The ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically across countries, with members, business partners and key stakeholders is essential to success in this position. MMA is a lean, innovative and high energy non-profit start up organization and needs a regional leader who is highly motivated and who possesses practical, hand-on capabilities to produce deliverables quickly and cost-effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
He/She will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring consistency of programs and policies for the China Markets, representing the association as appropriate in matters of the public relations. He/she will report to the Managing Director of MMA APAC as to the activities of the association. The position is one of high regional visibility and requires strong communication skills, including writing and public speaking. A track record of outstanding leadership, management and supervisory skills, and financial acumen is essential.
Specifically, the Representative will be expected to:
• Manage the business and operations activities in China for a not-for-profit industry trade association.
• Be responsible for the expansion of membership and member services (selling memberships in partnership with MMA regional and Global membership team)
• Lead the committees and committee priorities and work product, in consultation with the Advisory team , to ensure efficient time to market for key deliverables to enforce MMA leadership.
• Provide representation to the industry, regulatory, vendor community and other organizations.
• Expand the reach of the MMA throughout the China market. Be one of the association spokesperson in the China
• Provide leadership to the Association and advisory team in the development, management, and evaluation of programs to ensure proper alignment of staff and financial resources to meet goals and objectives within budget.
• Manage volunteer and contract staff and oversee general administrative matters.
• Work with MMA regional and Global on strategic planning, financial planning and institutional development.
• Liaise with global association on marketing communications including global events website and publications. Provide leadership in member and board communications.
• Significant travel may be require, depending on the budget, in order to increase the ‘visibility' of the MMA across the market.
